What is a Driving Licence Number?

Your Driving Licence Number is a 16-character unique ID issued by your RTO. It typically looks like this:

  • First 2 letters: State code (e.g., MH = Maharashtra)
  • Next 2 digits: RTO code (e.g., 14 = Pimpri-Chinchwad)
  • Remaining digits: Year + serial number (e.g., 20110012345)
